以赛亚书 57:9－12 Isaiah 57:9-12
你把油祭拜偶像，又多加香料，打发使者往遠方去，自卑自贱直到阴间，你因路遠疲倦，却不说这是枉然；你以为有复兴之力，所以不觉疲惫。你怕谁？ 因谁恐惧？ 竟说谎，不记念我，又不将这事放在心上。我不是许久闭口不言，你仍不怕我吗？ 我要指明你的公义；至於你所行的都必与你无益。You have given olive oil and many gifts of perfume to your idols. You have traveled far, even into the world of the dead, to find new gods to love. You grew weary in your search, but you never gave up. Desire gave you renewed strength, and you did not grow weary. “Are you afraid of these idols? Do they terrify you? Is that why you have lied to me and forgotten me and my words? Is it because of my long silence
that you no longer fear me?
Now I will expose your so-called good deeds. None of them will help you. Let’s see if your idols can save you when you cry to them for help. Why, a puff of wind can knock them down! If you just breathe on them, they fall over! But whoever trusts in me will inherit the land and possess my holy mountain.”
当耶和华闭口不言时，我们是否会找其他的神来代替他呢？当我们呼求它们时，他们不会，也不能帮助我们。唯有信靠耶和华的会必能承受他的产业与登陆他的圣山。When the Lord is silence, when he seems not to answer our cry for help, do we go and seek the help of other gods? But then, they will not and are not able to save us. Only those who trust in the Lord will inherit the land and possess his holy mountain.
