历代志下36: 20－21 2 Chronicles 36:20-21
凡脱離刀劍的，迦勒底王都掳到巴比伦去，作他和他子孫的仆婢，直到波斯国兴起来。这就应验耶和华藉耶利米口所说的话：地享受安息；因为地土荒凉便守安息，直满了七十年。Those who had escaped from the sword he carried away to Babylon; and they were servants to him and to his sons until the rule of the kingdom of Persia, to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. All the days of its desolation it kept Sabbath until seventy years were complete.
以色列人没有按照耶和华的吩咐遵守安息日。他们与他们的君王在神的面前作恶多端。所以神就允许巴比伦王侵略他们的地屈服他们，并将他们俘虏。这样，地就得到安息。圣经说这地享受安息。当人民不顺从上帝而犯罪， 他们不但违反了神关系与社交行为的律法，他们也违反了他们对地关系与责任的律法。地就被滥用，它没有得到它应有的安息，不能休耕与复原。
这章节提醒我们今天农业与耕种的方法。若我们不回到神天然耕种的方法，地会被虐待，我们也会受伤。神修复那地，使它恢复原状，给它七十年的安息！
The people of Israel did not follow the Lord’s instructions to observe the Sabbath Day. Their kings and them did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. Thus the Lord allowed the king of Babylon to capture the land and bring them into exile. In this way, the land had rest. The Bible says that the land enjoyed Sabbaths. When the people disobeyed God and sin, they not only violated God’s law for their relational and social behavior among themselves, they also violated their relational behavior and responsibility between them and the land. The land was abused, it did not have the rest that it deserved in order to recuperate and become fallow again.
This passage reminds us of our agricultural methods and farm factories today. If we do not go back to God’s natural laws of farming, the land will suffer and ultimately we will also suffer. God restored the land to what it should be by giving it seventy years enjoyment of rest!
