Jesus’ words in Matthew 5 are shocking. They seem to be unreasonable and even unrealistic. But his picture is so much bigger than ours, and his ways really do work! 主耶稣在马太福音第五章的话是有点惊人。那些话语似乎没有道理，也是不实际。但他所看到的比我们更大，他的方法真的行的通！

经文：马太福音 5：38－42 Scripture: Matthew 5:38-42“ 5:38「你们听见有话说： 『以眼还眼，以牙还牙。』5:39 只是我告诉你们， 不要与恶人作对。 有人打你的右脸，连左脸也转過来由他打；5:40 有人想要告你，要拿你的里衣，连外衣也由他拿去；5:41 有人强逼你走一里路，你就同他走二里；5:42 有求你的，就给他；有向你借贷的，不可推辞。」”
38 “You have heard the law that says the punishment must match the injury: ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also. 40 If you are sued in court and your shirt is taken from you, give your coat, too. 41 If a soldier demands that you carry his gear for a mile, carry it two miles. 42 Give to those who ask, and don’t turn away from those who want to borrow.”

箴言 15:1 Proverbs 15:1
回答柔和，使怒消退；言语暴戾，触动怒气。A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.
箴言25：26 Proverbs 25:26
义人在恶人面前退缩，好像涉浑之泉，弄浊之井。 If the godly give in to the wicked,
it’s like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring.
路加福音6：38 Luke 6:38
你们要给人，就必有给你们的，并且用十足的升斗，连摇带按，上尖下流的倒在你们怀里；因为你们用甚么量器量给人，也必用甚么量器量给你们。Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full - pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”
(一) 我们要学习在圣经里神智慧的平衡。
(二) 我们的主人教导我们在个人纠纷的时候，选择不报复的心志是何等有智慧的。因为事情必定会更恶化，所以要减少争辩，设法妥协。
(三) 若能够的话，基督徒应该设法不上法庭。但在某些情况里，我们需要上法庭，为了是阻止罪恶。
(四) 我们应该时常有慷慨的心，并且想方法行善， 甚至在不便的时候。
但 。。。 我们在行善或侍奉时要记住：
1） 不能伤害到人，
2） 不能鼓励怀行为，
3）不能加强不负责任的习惯，
4） 不能削弱自己的家人。
神的智慧与他的真理和恩典互相平衡。
1. Learn to see the balance of God’s wisdom in Scripture. Acts 20:27
2. Our Master is showing us the wisdom of choosing not to retaliate in the midst of a personal conflict. (Verse 39)
a) The issue is guaranteed to escalate. (Proverbs 15:1)
b) Versus reduction of conflict and possible resolution.
3. Christians should strive to not go to court, if at all possible, if we could.
- But there are times Christians must go to court in order to restrain evil. (Proverbs 25:25)
4. Our heart should always be generous. (Luke 6:38; 2 Cor. 9:6-10)
BUT… our giving should not:
a) Hurt people,
b) Enable wrong behavior,
c) Reinforce irresponsibility, and
d) Cripple our own family
The wisdom of God is balanced with his truth and grace.
