罗马书 10：1－5 Romans 10:1-5
弟兄们，我心里所愿的，向神所求的，是要以色列人得救。我可以证明他们向神有热心，但不是按著真知识；因为不知道神的义，想要立自己的义，就不服神的义了。律法的总结就是基督，使凡信他的都得著义。摩西写著说：人若行那出於律法的义，就必因此活著。
使徒保罗有一个意念，常常挂在他心里 － 就是他希望他的族民，以色列人得救。为何如此呢？因为他可怜他们对追求神很热情，但不是按着真知识，也不按着神的义。这不正的热情是如何造成的呢？因为他们所学的是旧的方法；摩西的律法：“人若行那出於律法的义，就必因此活著。”他们不相信基督已经来了，并且为我们完成他必成就的，就是将我们带到神面前与他和好。如今，凡应信都得称义，不是靠守律法，乃是靠相信耶稣基督 － 他已经为我们承诺律法的要求。
所以，我们靠着信心相信耶稣基督为我们成就律法，让我们继续与信心活出新生命，依靠耶稣的义，因为，“我们若认自己的罪， 神是信实的，是公义的，必要赦免我们的罪，洗净我们一切的不义。” （约翰一书1：9）。
1 Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved.2 I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal.3 For they don't understand God's way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God's way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law.4 For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God. 5 For Moses writes that the law's way of making a person right with God requires obedience to all of its commands.
The Apostle Paul has a constant longing in his heart – that his own people, Israel might be saved. Why? Because he pitied them especially that they are enthusiastic to find God but they have a problem: misdirected zeal. What caused this misdirected zeal is that they have been schooled in the old, Moses way of “getting right with God by trying to keep the law.” They did not believe and accept that Christ has already come to accomplished and make us right with God. So now, those who believe are made right with God, not by keeping the law, but by believing in Jesus Christ – the one who has fulfilled the law on our behalf.
Since we have by faith believed in Jesus Christ as our fulfillment of the law, let us live a life of faith, and continue to depend on His righteousness, for “if we confess our sins, he is just and faithful to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
